A Rum Festival!
Saturday 26 October, The Duke of Marlborough Hotel Russell, 1pm – 5pm
The Duke of Marlborough and Black Collar Distillery presents A Rum Festival! Over Labour Weekend, Russell is a hive of activity as the iconic Coastal Classic hosts the great race North from Auckland. Join the boaties at The Duke of Marlborough Hotel on Russell waterfront as they celebrate! Music from the Wellington Sea Shanty Society, fantastic local rum from Black Collar Distillery and a BBQ lunch. Tickets include a complimentary festival tiki glass and a rum punch on arrival.

Sip and Savour at The Gables
Saturday 26 October, The Gables, Russell, 4.30pm – 5.30pm
Step slightly down the waterfront and into the charming ambience of The Gables to embark on a delightful journey through Northland’s wine country, all without leaving your seat. Join us for an exclusive evening of wine exploration, where the region’s finest offerings come to life under the expert guidance of our Certified Sommelier, Michael Tully. This isn’t just any wine tasting—it’s a relaxed and informal experience designed to immerse you in the vibrant world of Northland wines. Michael will personally lead you through a thoughtfully curated selection of six exceptional local wines, each one a testament to the unique terroir and craftsmanship of our region. After your wine-tasting experience, you will be treated to The Gables Savour Northland Challenge dish.

Oktoberfest X Oysterfest at The Old Packhouse Market
Sunday 27 October, The Old Packhouse Market, Kerikeri, 4pm – 10pm
What the shuck! Craft beers, oysters, oompah band, pretzels and sausages… the Bay of Island’s biggest, baddest celebration of beer and food is coming to The Old Packhouse Market this October. Dust off your Dirndl and Lederhosen and get ready to party! We will be serving the best Northland beers, with a large selection of McLeod's award-winning varieties and special guest beers. For the non-beer drinkers, there will be a range of Northland wines and cocktails featuring local distilleries available. The Old Packhouse Market is a perfect venue for this event, with covered areas transformed into Beer Halls with long tables. The outdoor and partly covered areas will be home to Oysterfest and our other complimentary food trucks! Expect plenty of sausages, beer sticks, pretzels and BBQ-style meats, as well as oysters in multiple styles from The Old Packhouse Café and Kerikeri Oysters. Oyster eating competitions, giveaways, plus awesome music from The Little Oompah Band and the DJs will make your long weekend one to remember! Tickets include a complimentary Oktoberfest beer glass each, 2 complimentary drinks each and an oyster platter to share.
